ROAD REPAIRS TO TAKE PLACE ON TEMPLE STREET

(9/24/2007) Residents advised to seek alternate routes on Tuesday during construction

NEW HAVEN- The section of the Temple Street Bridge between Grove Street and Trumbull Street will undergo repairs on Tuesday, September 25th. For nearly a week, the right lane has been closed off in this area of Temple Street due to a sizeable hole produced by the weight of vehicles and substantial traffic flow. The left lane of Temple Street will remain open during repairs but congestion in the area is expected.

The damage to the road has not created safety risks and is not deemed a danger to motorists. Repairs are expected to be completed allowing the right lane to reopen on Tuesday evening. This project is weather permitting. Should weather conditions interfere with the project, repairs will take place on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.
